Hi, I’m Sinéad — founder of Village Wellness and the creator of the Osteo Fundamentals Programme.

I’m a Personal Trainer, Yoga Teacher, and Pilates Instructor, with additional training in Nutrition and Coaching — and for almost a decade I’ve worked hands-on with people in both group classes and one-to-one settings.

Every week, I’ve seen how the body can change — and more importantly, how it can adapt, rebuild, and become stronger with the right approach.

This programme wasn’t created in theory.

It came directly from my clients.

As many of the people I worked with started getting older, new challenges began to show up — reduced bone density, injuries that took longer to recover, and in some cases, unexpected diagnoses like osteopenia or osteoporosis.

And

They were told to “be careful” …but not shown what they could do.

That didn’t sit right with me.

Because the truth is — avoiding movement isn’t the answer.

I want to show you how to build strength and stay strong as you age.

So I designed Osteo Fundamentals to break down strength training and make it accessible. I have refined it and improved it time and again and I have received many queries from people who live too far away to join in person and so now I am taking the course online for you to try.

What if I haven’t exercised in years?

That’s exactly who this course is for. We assume you have zero knowledge or haven not exercised for a while. You’ll start with mobility exercises inspired by Sinead's yoga and Pilates experience because we want to open up and level up yyour body. Then you build at your own pace, and get step-by-step instructions. The great thing about a course like this is you can watch it back over and over. No experience needed - just a willingness to begin.

What if I have Osteoporosis or a recent diagnosis?

You are not alone. This course was created specifically for people with Osteopenia and Osteoporosis. There is so much you can do to support your body and get stronger. Every class and tutorial is designed to be safe, supportive, and bone-friendly, with modifications and clear guidance. I have seen hundreds of people go from zero to strong with Osteopenia and Osteoporosis. The last thing you want to do now is stop moving out of fear that will lead to weaker bones. I’m nervous about using weights, is this safe?

Yes. You’ll be introduced to strength training slowly and clearly. We start with resistance bands and mobility work. You will use light weights and learn the exercises and good form. Then in time we progress the load with dumbells. Strength training is one of the most effective ways to support your bones long-term and to maintain the muscle you have which we need to fight for as we get older.

What if I can’t do everything in the course?

Take the course at your own pace. There maybe be exercises you find more challenging than others but you can start with the mobility exercises and the 6 Chair yoga classes for a few weeks then build to the other classes. Train smarter not harder. There may be some exercises you can't do (due to injury or until your body is ready) and we offer modifications for everything.
